Kelly Rowland that escaped Matthew Knowles fiery pit last year is going to release an album this year and here is the latest scoop on it. Kelly will be going for more of an international sound with a little bit of urban to appeal to the U.S fans. She will be working with David Guetta, Rico Love, Nelly and Jim Jonsin among many others. Kelly is currently in talks with Universal Motown as per a record deal to release the album. I will be buying the disc to support her, she is so underrated but my question is how do you work on an album when you don't have record deal. My understanding is that record companies give artists advances to get the record done..hmm something to research about and worthy of a future post. To be honest, I don't think it will do well because she has been overshadowed by Beyonce too much. I mean look at Michelle Williams, she had a good concise sound with her last album 'Unexpected' but it didn't go no where. I will give Kelly the benefit of the doubt because with the right promotion and a good single choice, she might be able to top the charts like the way she did with "Dilemma".P.S : Michelle Williams has escaped from Matthew's fiery pit, good for her, hope we hear an update on a new album soon.
